IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

The Department of Land, Air, and Water Resources in the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences at the University of California, Davis is recruiting an Assistant Professor of Spatial and Environmental Informatics with a preferred emphasis in multidisciplinary “big data” geospatial methods to study terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems. 19/07/2018 - Sediment Transport Postdoctoral Fellowships at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory, US

Two new postdoctoral opportunities are available through the National Research Council Research Associateship Program (http://sites.nationalacademies.org/pga/rap/) to participate in on-going research activities at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) at Stennis Space Center, Mississippi (~45 miles east of New Orleans, LA). An NRC postdoctoral fellowship is granted as a one-year award that is renewable for up to three years. Applicants must be US Citizens or US Permanent Residents. The School of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering at Wuhan University is seeking highly-motivated and creative Post-Doctoral Fellows to carry out studies in the fields of fundamental theory of sediment transport, analysis of fluvial processes in reservoirs and alluvial rivers below dams, numerical modelling of sediment transport and channel deformation; flood modelling in urban and rural areas, flood risk assessment.
