Position in Belgium for an engineer with experience in hydraulic modelling (TELEMAC and/or Delft3D), Belgium
Antea®Group is an international engineering and environmental consulting firm specializing in full-service solutions in the fields of environment, infrastructure, urban planning and water.  The work of our Belgian Business Unit Water is focused on coastal zone management, water management systems, flood forecasting, water policy, surface and groundwater and modeling, urban water and sediment management.
We are offering a position in Belgium for an engineer with experience in hydraulic modelling with TELEMAC and/or Delft3D  who wants to apply his engineering and science skills to the engineering & consulting industry. This position provides the opportunity to explore interests, develop professional skills and solve complex problems. Working alongside other experts on numerical modelling of rivers and  estuaria, you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and build technical knowledge in both office and field work settings.
Your role:
You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working in Antwerp on hydraulic modelling projects with Telemac, Delft3D or Delwaq – software  within at least one of the following segments:
- Setting up, calibrating and validating numerical models (currents, waves, sediment transport or morphology)
- Developing algorithms and programming applications for numerical modelling and/or data management
- Reporting technical activities and findings, giving presentations to different audiences.
- Develop software tools
Your profile:
·University degree; holder of a master's or PhD degree in an engineering discipline or applied sciences.
·Your mother tongue is English or Dutch (or you are very fluent in one or more of these languages), you have the willingness to learn Dutch in a short period.
·General knowledge of marine and coastal hydraulics is a must.  Peer reviewed publications in this field are an asset.
·You have at least three years’ experience with numerical models, of which at least 2 years with TELEMAC Deft3D or Delwaq.
·Knowledge and talent for programming is necessary. Preferably in FORTRAN; knowledge in additional programming languages like of Python or .NET are welcome.
·Proficiency with  Matlab is desirable.
·You have the ambition to grow further as an expert in numerical modeling, data processing and interpretation of measurements and model results and become an internal expert in your field;
·You are technologically literate, an organizer and strive for quality and accuracy.
·You are eager to demonstrate your skills in a competitive environment and convince the client of the added value of Antea Group.
·You are willing to carry out a part of your work at a location other than our offices, either in Belgium (e.g. at the client’s offices) or abroad (e.g. in the framework of an international project);
