IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Departmental Research Lecturer in Environmental and/or Resource Management, University of Oxford
The School of Geography and Environment is seeking to appoint a Departmental Research Lecturer in Environmental and/or Resource Management from October 2015 or as soon as possible afterwards. We are seeking an exceptional candidate at an early stage of an academic career who has the potential, in the right environment, to demonstrate leadership in their field.
The successful candidate will conduct independent research in environmental and/or resource management or a closely related field, with a focus on the geography, economics, and/or politics of environmental management. You will assist in teaching, marking and supervision for the postgraduate taught programmes, with occasional contributions to undergraduate teaching.
