|With a split submission, members of staff were graded 5 and 4 in the 2014 REF. The department is host to a research active group of Environmental Economists and is a major contributor to European research into sustainable development issues.
The role involves working with interdisciplinary teams in UK and Europe on a number of externally funded projects. This will be funded through the ECONADAPT project for the European Commission, and will involve the development of economic analytical tools and methods in informing decisions relating to climate change adaptation.
The role includes data analysis and critical reviews of literature, as well as support with primary research into environmental economics issues. Research Assistants are also expected to contribute to publications and proposal writing for future grants.
You should possess an undergraduate degree in Economics or a related discipline and previous knowledge of environmental economics is desirable.
