IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Lecturer in Fluid Mechanics, University of Salford

This is a permanent post which will enable the School to continue developing its teaching and research in the area of Fluid Mechanics. The post-holder would be expected to:
Undertake teaching within the School at all levels though in particular to support the teaching of material related to Mechanical Engineering at UG and PG levels.
Be responsible for the delivery and assessment of specific modules, ensuring that content is informed by current research where appropriate, and that assessment type and volume is appropriate for the students' programmes of study.
Supervise undergraduate and MSc Dissertation work.
Contribute to the continuing development of a research profolio in the mechanical engineering area.
