We are looking for two Research Engineers to work in Marine Infrastructure, Renewable Energy and Water Resources to support our Ocean, Coastal and River Engineering (OCRE) Portfolio. The Research Engineers would be someone who shares our core values of impact, accountability, leadership, integrity and collaboration.
The Research Engineers will have the following roles and responsibilities:
Engage clients; promote NRC capabilities and resources; sell NRC services; build partnerships for strategic research; manage and perform project work; contribute to innovation and advancement of technology; build strong client relationships; and help lever and commercially exploit the full potential of NRC capabilities;
Analyze and identify client requirements and prepare project proposals including estimates of time and budget;
Apply engineering principles and use numerical and physical modeling tools to investigate and solve practical engineering problems and to perform applied research for clients or with strategic partners;
Perform data collection, conduct data analysis, prepare research reports and ensure professional and quality work;
Lead or contribute to the development of new facilities, infrastructure, tools, procedures, standards etc.
