IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Faculty Position in Hydrology, The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering invites applications for a substantiation-track faculty position at Assistant/Associate Professor level in engineering hydrology. 
 
Applicants must have a PhD degree in water resources/hydrological engineering or a related field. The appointee is expected to demonstrate strong potential for effective teaching and promising research in the respective fields as well as play a key role in the development and operation of the Hydraulic/Water Resources Laboratory.
 
Salary is highly competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including medical and dental benefits, annual leave, and housing benefits will be provided where applicable. Initial appointment will normally be made on a 3-year contract. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
