IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Visiting Faculty Positions in the Department of Civil Engineering, Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University
The Department of Civil Engineering in the College of Engineering at PMU invites applications for visiting faculty positions starting Summer 2014 and Fall 2014 at the ranks of associate and full professor. The candidate must be a US Citizen and holds a Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from an accredited US institution and have had a distinguished tenured academic career record in the US. The candidate is expected to develop academic and research programs at PMU in partnership with home institution. One position is reserved for a documented ABET expert who recently led his program to full accreditation. Terms of appointments include renewable one and two year full or part time residency in KSA and joint faculty positions with home institution thereafter.
PMU offers a competitive tax free compensation package commensurate with rank and experience including 12 month salary, summer vacation, accommodation, annual round trip airfare to home country, medical insurance, assistance with school fees for children and end of service bonus.
