IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Project Water Resource Engineer / Hydrologist, US
We are seeking a professional Water Resources Engineer / Hydrologist with a focus on hydrology, river basin planning, drought management, watershed planning and water quality assessments. Assignments may include: surface water resource assessments, water resource systems modeling and yield analysis; watershed and stormwater studies; conveyance capacity, flood risk assessment; water quality, erosion and sediment studies and other aspects of comprehensive river basin planning. Position will be for the ARCADIS San Francisco, California office or other Bay area offices and will be part of a national ARCADIS water resources group.
Typical responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Data collection; field reconnaissance; data formatting; hydrologic, water quality, and hydraulic modeling; perform statistical analyses; prepare permit applications; author technical reports; manage task budgets and schedules; communicate with clients and assist with proposal development.
