IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Lecturership in Coastal Resilience at the University of Liverpool, UK

A Lectureship in Physical Geography, specialising in Coastal Resilience, is available in the The Department of Geography and Planning (University of Liverpool) as a result of institutional investment and the newly-established cross-disciplinary Liverpool Institute for Sustainable Coasts and Oceans (LISCO):

We seek a lecturer to deliver high quality research, and contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in Physical Geography. You will have an excellent research profile in Coastal Resilience, in particular geomorphic response to climate change and sea level (including modelling), flooding and erosion risk, and/or innovative coastal defence.

You will have an established record in conducting relevant excellent research including publications in leading international journals and experience of applying for research funding.
