IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

New Position of Civil Engineering Professor (hydraulics) at Polytechnique Montreal, Cananda
The Department is seeking an applicant with qualifications and a particular interest in one or more of the following areas: hydrology at the watershed scale; urban hydrology; water resources management, particularly in connection with their protection, sustainable management and exploitation as well as with the impacts of climate change; urban hydraulics; marine hydraulics; river hydraulics; environmental hydraulics.

These specialties can be addressed by both experimental and numerical approaches.
