IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

5-year Research Fellowship at the University of Leeds, UK
Applications are invited for the above position to conduct research, seek funding and publish in the field of Flood Risk Management and/or the Modelling of Shallow Water Flows in support of the Head of the School of Civil Engineering.  It presents an excellent opportunity to develop a research profile in an area that is key to the challenges facing modern societies. The extended term of 60 months will allow the successful individual to develop a strong research profile leading to a successful academic career. The postholder will be able to play a key role in the University of Leeds’ internationally-recognised water@leeds transformation project.
