IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Full-time, tenure-track Position, Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering, , National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan
The Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, invites applications for two full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions with a start date of February 1, 2015. Appointment at the associate/full professor level will be considered in case the applicant has a proven record of outstanding research and teaching.
The successful candidate must demonstrate high potential for outstanding accomplishments in research, research supervision, and teaching courses in English. Candidates with expertise in any of the following areas will be favorably considered, but are not limited to: coastal engineering, coastal disaster prevention, underwater technology, coastal ocean monitoring and analysis, wave statistics, physical hydraulic model test for seismic study, stability analysis and disaster prevention strategy, design of hydraulic structures.
Applications must be received by August 15, 2014 for consideration.  Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, Ph.D. diploma, detailed statement of research and teaching interests, official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate), publication list (at least one publication reprint), and three reference letters to:
