Several competitive funded research opportunities are available for highly motivated and creative individuals with a strong interest in pursuing multi-disciplinary approaches to address emerging issues at the interface of water, environment and human-health including:
• Remote sensing of hydrosphere and water-related diseases: quantification, integration and prediction;
• Modeling of hydrologic and climatic processes, issues of scales, observational data analysis with a focus on regional and global occurrence of water-related diseases;
• Impact of climate change on outbreaks, prevalence, transmission and distribution of water-related disease;
Desirable backgrounds include a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in engineering or geosciences with keen interests in a challenging career in hydrological, earth and environmental sciences. A desire to develop strong analytical and computational skillset (e.g., GIS, processing and handling of remote sensing data) is required and should reflect from your short statement of interests.
