PhD position - 3D Numerical Modelling of Sediment Transport, NTNU, Trondheim, Norway

The Department of Civil and Transport Engineering at NTNU, Trondheim, Norway announces a PhD position in the field of three-dimensional numerical modeling of sediment transport.
The PhD student will perform numerical investigations in order to improve the understanding of local scour under wave and current conditions in the Arctic region.
 The position requires a Master’s degree or similar within civil, coastal, marine or hydraulic engineering or other relevant disciplines from a reputable university. The candidate should have a strong background in one or more of the fields of numerical modeling (CFD), sediment transport, fluid mechanics and wave hydromechanics. Knowledge of programming in C++ and experience in parallel coding with Message Passing Interface (MPI) will be advantageous for the position.
