IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Assistant/ Associate Professor of Marine Science, Southern New Jersey, US
The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey Marine Science Program is seeking to fill a tenure track position, at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level, in the area of Marine Science with a specialization in Marine Geology and an interest in Coastal Processes and Sediment Dynamics for September 2014. Familiarity with Marine Technology Instrumentation and GIS preferred. The candidate should be qualified to teach Marine Geology, Sedimentology and Stratigraphy, Historical Geology, and Coastal Processes.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey is an innovative liberal arts and sciences college and is currently ranked among the top ten public Masters institutions in the northeast. The college is located in the Pinelands National Reserve in southern New Jersey on 1600 acres about one hour from Philadelphia, two hours from New York City, three hours from the Baltimore/Washington area, and 20 minutes from Atlantic City.  The College has a diverse array of undergraduate programs in the sciences and maintains a well-equipped coastal Field Station ten minutes from campus which also includes the Coastal Research Center.  A new 66,000 sq. ft. Unified Science Center opened in September 2013 with a second building in the planning stages.  Stockton provides vast opportunities for interdisciplinary academic, scholarly, and pedagogic development in the sciences.
