IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Up to four post-doctoral research positions, University of Queensland, Australia
Up to four post-doctoral research positions (2-3 years duration) are available within the Coastal Engineering group in the School of Civil Engineering, University of Queensland.
The projects encompass wind wave modelling and measurement, impacts of climate change on beach morphology , numerical modelling of beach profile evolution and inundation, and modelling of the hydrodynamics of coral reef ecosystems, working with Peter Nielsen, Tom Baldock and David Callaghan, plus associated PhD students and ecologists.
