IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Permanent Senior Lecturer Position for Laboratory of Coastal Geomorphology and Environment, Dinard, Brittany, France.
Research :
The lecturer will have been trained as a geographer and have research experience in coastal geomorphological dynamics, with a preference for tropical coastlines (coral reefs, mangroves) or the interactions between ecosystem dynamics and geo-environmental dynamics in the tropics. The lecturer will conduct research in geomorphology and coastal environment, leading to referenced publications at international level. His/her work will take part within an interdisciplinary framework combining geography, geomorphology and ecology. The candidate will be involved in the research teams "Risks, vulnerabilities and land management ", or "Observations and modeling of changes" in a CNRS laboratory (UMR PRODIG), and will altogether work in close collaboration with the other laboratories of the Life 
and Earth Sciences section of the EPHE, including those involved in the Labex CORAIL. 
Teaching : 
The lecturer will train students in the practice and the analysis of geographic information systems (GIS), and in developing environmental nearshore observatories. The lecturer will teach at the master level, and will supervise diplôme students at the EPHE.
