IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Tenure Track Positions at UTFSM, Valparaiso, Chile
Applications are invited from outstanding candidates with expertise in the field of Hydraulic Engineering, Hydrology or related fields. Candidates working in the areas hydrological processes, urban hydrology, urban hydraulics, flood modeling and control, sediment transport, probabilistic flow predictions are encouraged to apply for this opening.
Applicants should have PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline. The candidates will be expected to develop a high quality research program. Duties will also include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in the Civil Engineering curricula. Knowledge of Spanish is desirable.
