IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Engineer coastal and estuarine systems , Antwerp, Belgium
Your relevant technical knowledge allows you to independently elaborate projects, taking into account planning, budget and technical requirements. By linking your academic knowledge to practical solutions, you provide our clients with the best technical and economical solutions.
You are able to actively set-up and apply numerical models.
You are expected to guide a team of less experienced colleagues and to manage the contact with the client, the sub-contractors and other persons involved.

You  have a university degree in engineering: civil engineering or informatics.
You have +/- 5 years of work experience during which you obtained a thorough knowledge with regard to coastal and estuarine systems (waves, current, sediment transport and morphology) and complex modelling with the help of the most common commercial software.
Experience with and/or are interested in project management and the management of a small team of less experienced colleagues is an advantage.
You are willing to work on national and international projects.
You have excellent reporting skills, both oral and written.
You have an excellent knowledge of English. A very good knowledge of Dutch (oral and written) is an advantage.
