IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Research Associate Hydraulics and Hydrology and Coastal Modeler, The Water Institute of the Gulf, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, US
We specifically seek outstanding applicants with a  background in hydraulics, hydrology, sediment transport, and numerical modeling of Riverine, estuarine and coastal wetland systems.  Applicants must be proficient in the use and applications of numerical models to coastal water systems, able to communicate efficiently with federal and state agencies, and can produce technical publications.  M.S. degree is required and Ph.D. degree is desirable. Familiarity with widely used numerical modeling packages is a plus. This position reports to the Director of Natural Systems Modeling and Monitoring. Candidate will be hired as a Research Associate I, II or III commensurate with education and experience.
