IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Ph.D. Graduate Research Assistantship, Civil Engineering Department, University of Houston, USA

The research topic will focus on depositional mechanics of mud in buoyant river plumes as they enter coastal zones. Ideal candidates will have an interest in linking fluid mechanics and sediment deposit structure and will have an ability to work in the laboratory.
