Abstracts must be received by July 31st 2013.
The 3rd IAHR Europe Congress programme will include several plenary and parallel sessions, and workshops. From now, abstracts which address the following conference themes are particularly welcome:
· HYDRO-ENVIRONMENT AND ECO-HYDRAULICS: fluid mechanics; environmental hydraulics; eco-hydrology and eco-hydraulics; restoration and environmental management of waters; sustainable policy on hydro-environment and eco-hydraulics.
· MARITIME HYDRAULICS AND COASTAL ENGINEERING: coastal and estuarine hydrodynamics; coastal and estuarine processes and morphology; coastal and offshore structures; coastal protection and restoration; marine renewable energy; and physical and numerical modelling.
· SUSTAINABLE WATER RESOURCES AND HYDRAULIC ENGINEERING: surface and groundwater hydraulics and hydrology; sediment transport and fluvial processes; integrated drainage and flood resilient cities; water pressure systems; hydraulic structures; hybrid energy systems; computational hydraulics and applications; and sustainable water management.
· UNCERTAINTY, EXTREMES AND CLIMATE CHANGE: adaptation to climate change and uncertainty on design criteria; climate change and water management; prediction and management of floods and droughts; extreme events and disasters related to water; uncertainty and risk assessment methods; and risk informed design of water systems.
The two page abstracts should be submitted through the conference website at http://www.fe.up.pt/iahr2014.
Selected papers will be published in peer-review journals.
