IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Call for abstracts
HydroSenSoft 2019, 2nd International Symposium and Exhibition on Hydro-Environment Sensors and Software
26 Feb-1 Mar 2019, Madrid, Spain
Dear Colleague,
After the first successful edition of HydroSenSoft in Madrid in 2017, the IAHR Committee on Experimental Methods and Instrumentation (EMI) is organizing the second edition of the symposium, that will offer the opportunity to present latest trends in instruments development, experimental methods, and data management and analysis to cope with water-related societal challenges.
Hydrosensoft consists of several parallel events: The International Symposium with peer-reviewed papers (3 days), the Exhibition (3 days) and the National Symposium with invited speakers (in Spanish, 1 day).
The International Symposium and Exhibition will bring together users, researchers and developers interested in hydro-environment software and sensors/instrumentation and will showcase the latest advances coming out of the research and development community. Furthermore, the exhibition will take place alongside several other exhibitions relevant to the water industry (SIGA-Trade Fair for Innovative Water Management Solutions, Genera - Energy and Environment International Trade Fair, Tecnova Piscinas - Technology and Innovation Trade Show for Aquatic Installations).
Abstracts are invited in all areas of hydro-environment engineering and research, covering rivers and their catchments, lakes, groundwater, ports and coastal waters, maritime and urban water cycle that rely on the use of instrumentation, sensors, data acquisition systems and numerical modelling tools. One-page abstracts (not more than 400 words) shall be submitted before 25 June 2018. Abstracts should be sent by email to Maria Galanty (office@iahr.org).
I would like to kindly ask for your support by not only circulating news on HydroSenSoft 2019 among your colleagues, but also, if possible, by participating in the event as well.
