IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Faculty positions at the university of new hampshire, USA
University of New Hampshire’s College of Ocean Engineering has open tenure track positions in Ocean Engineering.  We anticipate hiring 1-2 people in the next two years.  The focus areas of interest  includes, but is not limited to: coastal processes, marine robotics, ocean simulations, marine structures, ocean renewable energy, ocean sensing, and marine geotechnics.  The appointments will be in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. 
In the past year, UNH has invested over $7 Million in the Jere A. Chase Ocean Engineering Laboratory resulting in a new wing of research laboratories, new state of the art teaching spaces, infrastructure upgrades, and a new oscillating flows water tunnel (see photos from the grand opening at https://www.flickr.com/photos/unh/albums/72157689465033835).
