IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

PhD course on Generation and Analysis of Waves in Physical Models

Week 45 (06.11.2017-10.11.2017)we are running a full 5 day (5 ECTS) course on Generation and Analysis of Waves in Physical Models.

In the course we will go through the most commonly used wave analysis and wave generation methods as well as design of facilities and mechanical design aspects. Lab exercises will be used to demonstrate the application and advantages/disadvantages of the various methods.

For Ph.D. students registered at any university, participation in the course itself is free. However, a fee of 1500 DKK (200 EUR) will be charged to cover expenses for lunches, coffee, etc. For non-Ph.D. students a registration fee of 12,750 DKK (1700 EUR) will be charged including lunches, coffee, etc. The fees will be charged after the registration deadline has passed and registrants have got the confirmation of participation.
