IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Professor, Department Head in Civil Engineering, Kansas State University, US
The College of Engineering at Kansas State University (K-State) invites nominations and applications for the position of Head of the Department of Civil Engineering. The College seeks an individual with the innovative leadership skills needed to strengthen successful instructional, research, and outreach programs in the department. The new head will lead the department as it increases the number of graduating students, expands its facilities, and hires new faculty. The department head will maintain productive relationships and development activities with alumni, external businesses and government agencies. The successful candidate will have credentials of the highest quality including a strong record of scholarly and professional accomplishments, a distinguished scholarly reputation in the engineering community, and excellent interpersonal skills. An earned doctorate in civil engineering or a closely related field is required.
