Re. IAHR Membership Renewal for 2017
We very much appreciate your membership of IAHR during the last year, and with this message we are sending you an invoice for continuing membership for 2017! For the first time in four years we are raising the fee rates to reflect a rise in costs for administration of the association and the widening variety of benefits which we provide. Specifically, the increased fee income will enable us to greatly improve our website by upgrading the iMIS software which we are using on our website and online community management and allow us to offer our members better access to a much larger library of proceedings papers from IAHR past congresses!
During the year members will receive four printed issues of our popular Hydrolink
magazine – Issue 1 will be a special issue on sensors, and data acquisition & analysis software. Under the direction of Editor Angelos Findikakis Hydrolink aims to brings you short, easily readable reports on specific themes from the world of hydro-environment engineering and research! All members can also receive the magazine in PDF form, and as a ‘page flip’ version for tablets and smart phones.
In addition to the Journal of Hydraulic Research (JHR) and the practice-oriented online Journal of Water Engineering and Research (JAWER) members for 2017 will receive our new Journal of Ecohydraulics
at no extra charge which we have launched in partnership with Taylor & Francis.
I also wish to remind you that members are eligible to receive a large discount in the registration fees for our 2017 congresses and most notably the 37th IAHR World Congress
which will take place between 13-18th August in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Please don't hesitate to contact us if you have any queries on this or any other matter and please do use our online forums, Journals and Newsletters to share your research and project news with the hydro-environment community!
With best regards,
Dr Christopher George
IAHR Executive Director
