IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow, University of the Sunshine Coast, Australia

The Postdoctoral Research Fellow will be an integral part of the SWRG. The incumbent will work closely with the leader of the SWRG and assist with the day-to-day activities of running the group, including research, administrative and managerial functions. At the University of the Sunshine Coast, a Level A Postdoctoral Research Fellow:

  1. Is developing their research profile. They make positive contributions to research projects; co-supervise honours students and candidates for higher degrees by research; participate in research teams; and are developing a track record of publishing in quality refereed journals;
  2. Is developing productive industry and community links that benefit students, the community and/or the University. For example, they are applying discipline knowledge and skills that benefit external stakeholders and partners and can be involved in activities that encourage participation in University life through outreach activities;
  3. Can demonstrate engagement within the University through contributions to academic administration and activities that contribute to the student experience.
