IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Assistant professor, National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, China
The Department of Hydraulic and Ocean Engineering at National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, invites applications for 1 full-time, tenure-track assistant professor positions with a start date of February 1, 2017. Appointment at the associate/full professor level will be considered in case the applicant has a proven record of outstanding research and teaching.
 
The successful candidate must demonstrate high potential for outstanding accomplishments in research, research supervision, and teaching courses in English. Candidates with expertise in any of the following areas will be favorably considered, but are not limited to: hydraulic engineering, river hydraulics, hydrology, hydrometry, coastal engineering, development of ocean energy or natural disaster prevention strategy or seismic impact to hydraulic structures, design of hydraulic structures.
 
Applications must be received by August 15, 2016 for consideration.  Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae, Ph.D. diploma, detailed statement of research and teaching interests, official transcripts (undergraduate and graduate), publication list (at least one publication reprint), and three reference letters to:
