IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Civil Engineering - Structures, Liverpool John Moores University, UK
We are looking for a Chartered Civil Engineer who is either a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or is in the process of applying for the IStuctE membership. A PhD in Structural Engineering or a related discipline within Civil Engineering is essential.
 
You should be able to teach both design and analyses of Structures, reinforced concrete and steel, conduct research to a high level in these topics and publish in reputable journals the results from such research. You should also be able to supervise students both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels and be prepared to help other staff with any duties as specified by the Head of Department and/or the Programme Leader.
