IAHR, founded in 1935, is a worldwide independent member-based organisation of engineers and water specialists working in fields related to the hydro-environmental sciences and their practical application. Activities range from river and maritime hydraulics to water resources development and eco-hydraulics, through to ice engineering, hydroinformatics, and hydraulic machinery.

Lecturer / Associate Professor in Civil Engineering Hydraulics, University of Southampton, UK
Water & Environmental Engineering Group
The group is multi-disciplinary including engineers and scientists with research interests in ecohydraulics, engineering hydrology, flood modelling, hydropower, water supply and wastewater engineering. 
We are seeking to appoint a member of staff in the area of civil engineering hydraulics, with a preference for an engineer with experimental research interests.
You will have a track record of obtaining external funding and delivering outputs commensurate with the post and be committed to developing a programme of original research that complements and extends the groups existing strengths. You will teach and supervise research projects at both undergraduate and post graduate levels. 
The Faculty offers exceptional research facilities in the area of water engineering and had a national and international reputation in research, teaching and knowledge transfer.
Preliminary interviews are expected to take place on Friday 8 April 2016.
