Hydrometry Training Course Working Group

Aims and Scope

The Hydrometry training course was initiated in 2011 by formerly Applied Hydrology Working Group (chaired by Roberto Ranzi). The course was designed as inter-organizational collaboration program between IAHR, IAHS and WMO. The course aims at providing a primer to the new edition of the WMO Manual of Stream Gauging (2010) dealing with conventional methods as well as recent technological advancements in stream gauging with special emphasis on recent advances in the area ranging from the hydro-acoustic and image-based instruments to uncertainty analysis for measured hydraulic quantities.
